I though this may be the bearings in the motor that had rusted but it sounds more like the linkages. Should be in the fuse box on the right driver's side and could just be a glitch. Thank you in advance. There is an 'O' ring on the end of the arm spindles that lets water in over time & causes the spindle to seize (usually the drivers side for some reason). Is there something under the dash that could be loose (relay, fuse, etc) that could cause intermittant problems. I have replaced the motors and still yet to function. However, as previously stated, it would be far safer/easier to replace it than to risking the chance of burning the wiper motor out.Click to expand... Worst case, if it's a new motor fitted and coded its about £600 from main dealer if I recall correctly (some of that is making sure the linkages are all free Mines a 1998 A3, so I think it's a L model?
