The first time the page loads, on the client side, when tabbing out of a field that has a required field validator attached to it, the "text" assigned to the validator I have also tried with the script manager inside and outside the update panel. It should validate after you click a button if cause validation is true. That wasn't the issue for me, unfortunately. However, I'm unable to get unobtrusive client-side validation working. Did I cheat? "president-elect" grammatically correct?
