I also know the speakers are good as i tested them. I had it worked out temporarily by uninstall asus own and replaced it with windows drivers. It's just that nothing gets output to the speakers/headphones. No start up sound, no shut down sounds, no game sound, no Windows Media Player sound... have a peek here
